Pretty much everything's shipped - OK, now what?
The mailman picked up another 1,200 packages today (includes another 200 free sets). That's pretty much it on this run. All that's left are:
- 263 DVD sets and 30 BD sets - these will go up for sale in a couple of weeks
- 169 FREE sets - waiting on DVDs to fill them out
- a few international orders to PO boxes - USPS requires a phone number - emails have been sent
- a few individual BDs left over from when people requested early DVD set delivery (emails have been sent)
- user Franzine - who the hell are you and do you want the DVD set you paid for?
Once the dust from all this has settled and I'm sure that all orders have been fulfilled / bad discs replaced, I'll put the remaining sets up for sale. This will be on a first come, first served basis to people who have not yet already ordered. 1/2 the sets will go on sale at one time, and the other 1/2 12 hours later - to give everyone (no matter what their time zone) a chance to get a set.
Once these sets have sold, I'll be starting on the next phase. Demand continues to grow, but our desire to spend every waking moment on this hasn't :) So, I'm looking at getting simple, cheap, card sleeve DVDs/BDs made and will be selling them and giving them away to meet remaining demand. This will only be of The Gift (the NIN supplied footage). Cost will probably be $3 for a DVD and $4 for a BD including international shipping (as before, US orders will subsidize ROW shipping).
After this, there may be one last run of the 3 DVD set, but that is still under discussion.
OMG I didn't get my order!!! What can I do?!?!?
READ ALL THIS SECTION BEFORE CONTACTING ME.
There's been a few mistakes in the order data - the main reasons are:
- I screwed up in a mail merge - unicode data was getting dropped
- some people didn't set an address in their profile, so there was nothing to mail merge to
- Endicia appears to stop printing after 150 orders per run but reports them as printed. When i noticed, I cross-referenced everything and think I caught them all, but may not have.
- collating the country rep order files was a bit of a mess - I've corrected a pile of orders from there, but if you ordered from a country rep and can't see your order, let me know.
When Should I Contact You?
If you ordered a DVD set ($6) - all paid for DVD sets have shipped and should be with their recipients by now. If you ordered a DVD set and didn't get one, let me know.
If you ordered a BD/DVD set ($11) - the final 1,000 BD sets left today, USPS First Class / First Class International. US residents wait a week before reporting non-delivery, ROW 3 weeks please (20th August - note that date)
Before You Contact Me
Please go through this checklist:
- Are you sure you ordered from us? We are not atinylittledot
- Did you really order? Selecting that you wanted a set in your profile is not the same as, you know, actually sending me money in exchange for a set
- Is your address correct in your profile - if it isn't, well, chase up your set from the address on file. This has been mentioned a lot, so I'm hoping you've all set your address by now
How should I Report a Missing Order
Make sure you do the following when contacting me :
- Send me an email - not a tweet, not a FB message. I need one central place where I can cross reference ALL correspondence.
- include your USERNAME - everything is cross referenced by username within the system
- Tell me how you paid. If by PayPal, include the transaction ID and email address used in the transaction. If by check/MO, approximate date of mailing. If you paid a country rep, please tell me - I'm not psychic! Thanks :)
